Robust Autonomous Airborne Vehicle - Endurant and Nimble or RAAVEN in short is an aircraft system that has a custom avionics stack for full-featured RAAVEN PDB capable of multi-instrument meteorological sensor package and support computing measurements. It was developed in collaboration with Rite-Wing RC and designed for supercell thunderstorm intercept missions.
As part of the VENUSIAN mission, I contributed to a test flight of the Venus Life Finder Probe, to be flown on a drone over Hawaii's volcanoes to simulate aspects of Venus' atmosphere. I worked on the avionics systems, mission planner software, and developed data logging tools to capture and store telemetry from the AFN probe in real time.
The first set of test flights will occur on the 16th of March, 2025.
